I meant to blog every day while my little family is gone however that doesn't seemed to have worked out. So here is a summary of days two through three, more days to follow...
Day Two
I work from home on Fridays so it was nice to get up and not have to get dressed immediately in order to drop Lizzie off at day care. However, instead of Greg's alarm waking me up at 6 am I had a dog whining in my face. Lovely. I had an acupuncture appointment (which hasn't worked yet!) and the rest of the day was spent working. We did our first webcam that day as well. Lizzie kept saying "Hug Mommy" and tried to touch me in the computer. It definitely made me cry. Eventually we had to lure her away with the promise of a cookie so she wouldn't get upset. Later in the evening I had a really scary moment when I fell. There were some empty boxes on the floor (that I had put there!) and I wasn't paying attention and sort of fell in to them. It was very slow motion leaving me time to grab on to the door frame in an attempt to stay upright. Unfortunately my socks slipped on the floor and I went crashing forward in to the boxes then on to the floor. I landed briefly on my belly but I think my knees and elbows took the brunt of the fall as they are all bruised. I lay on the floor for a bit just making sure I was ok. The babies were immediately moving so I wasn't worried about them, I was just a bit shaken.
Day Three
My mom and I went to Ikea on Saturday to shop for some furniture for the twins room. I particular needed two dressers but I knew that I'd be buying more because who can resist the lure of Ikea? It's a little over an hour from my house so we got an early start at 9 am. It was definitely a successful trip and we both got lots of stuff including said dressers. My pregnancy brain definitely kicked in though and I left some items at the end of the belt (paid for). Ugh. I really need them too for a toy storage solution I bought. Thankfully they were turned in to their left items area and I'll be picking them up on Wednesday evening. We also had another webcam session which was more successful. Lizzie didn't get as upset this time although she wasn't too keen on sitting on Greg's lap for a long time. In the evening I rented Twilight from iTunes, started a fire, lit a candle, turned off all the lights for Earth Hour and chilled out. It was a nice evening.

That fall would definitely scared the crap out of me, too. Why do things like that have to happen when we are alone?
