Angel and Darla

I'm calling them my little vampires because they are sucking up all my energy these days. It is really hard to get through the regular work day. I'm just soooo tired. On the weekends I can nap when Lizzie naps but during the week it is just too hard to nap and I'm thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. It doesn't help that my dear husband hasn't been much help this week due to some work commitments he has so I've had to do bedtime along with everything else. It also doesn't help that Lizzie was up for two hours in the middle of the night last night. Doesn't she understand how tired her Mommy is? I was in bed by 9 last night, tonight it might be even earlier.

I didn't experience this kind of tiredness when I was pregnant with Lizzie. In fact, she was a relatively easy pregnancy except for the low-lying placenta and the gestational diabetes. Knock on wood, still no morning sickness. My stomach feels "off" from time to time but that is usually resolved with a couple lady-like burps. For many many reasons I'm looking forward to be finished with the first trimester.

Maybe because it's 2 of them in there? Hope you get to feel better soon.

Happy ICLW!

Angel and Darla, I love it. I watched Angel (and Buffy) but my husband never did. Now that we're watching Dexter, he periodically asks me, "What's that actress's name again?" And I exclaim, "Julie Benz! It's Darla!" and then he looks at me blankly. :)

Poor thing! No wonder you're exhausted. This too, shall pass, right? Congrats on the twins. That's awesome! ICLW

Congrats on the twins! My kids sucked every single brain cell out of my head when I was pregnant. I had some serious pregnant brain by the end. Maybe that is why their heads are so big?!?!

Happy ICLW!

According to the Mayo Clinic book on pregnancy, carrying one child is the equivalent of running a triathalon everyday for the first trimester. So, you must be running 2 triathalons a day. No wonder you are tired. Congrats again!

PS...the word verification does not like me...this has taken multiple tries...LOL

I recall being very tired until about 13 or 14 weeks with Ada. Plus, at today's scan the doc mentioned "you may feel more symptoms with two". I'm hopeful for minimal nausea too, because what a pain to explain to a toddler why mama is vomiting. (and to explain WHILE vomiting, joy)
