Words

All my kids use the expression "last day". As in, we went to the zoo last day. It could mean anything from earlier in the day to months ago.

Alex has a couple of his own words that I really love:

Nexterday - This is an amusing combination of "next day" and "yesterday". To be honest I'm not really sure if it is a future or past statement.

Softily - This is his word to describe soft things but in particular he asks me in the morning if he can wear his "softily" pants (as in his sweatpants).
