Let battle toddler commence!
Saturday was definitely a difficult day in toddler world. Everything, I mean everything, was a battle! It all started with breakfast. She would not eat her breakfast in her high chair or anywhere else in the kitchen for that matter and that is the rule, meals must be eaten in the kitchen.
Then we went on a walk which went well until we were almost all the way home but could not complete the walk because the sidewalks hadn't been plowed. So we had to backtrack which made the walk a lot longer. At this point she had fallen asleep and we didn't want to ruin her nap so we got her out to walk. This worked until she found her goldfish then she wanted to walk and eat the goldfish, slowing us down considerably. At this point we gave her the option of eating her goldfish in her carriage or walking. This did not go over well.
We tried to feed her lunch when we got home but that worked as well as breakfast. She was clearly tired so we attempted nap time in her new room but she didn't want anything to do with her new room. She wanted to be in her crib and that was that. That would be the fourth battle of the day.
She wasn't very cooperative when we were grocery shopping and dumped a fairly large bag of goldfish on the floor. What can I say? I love getting down on my hands and knees on a dirty grocery store floor and picking up goldfish. No luck with dinner either. At that point I had to hand her over to Greg as my patience was running really low.
Thankfully Sunday was pretty much the opposite of Saturday and we had a great day. Also, thanks to her waking up an hour early on Saturday and Sunday she adjusted fine to the time change although I still think changing the clocks is the bane of every parents existence.

You are too good. That's when you call for a goldfish clean-up in aisle 12, no way should a pregnant-with-twins momma of an unhappy toddler be on her hands and knees in a grocery store.
I'm glad Lizzie had a better day on Sunday. And to think, she hasn't even turned terrible two yet. Maybe she's getting it all out of her system now for when her brother & sister arrive!
And the battles have only started. We are bad and let our daughter eat breakfast in the living room. Mostly because she is eating alone as I'm heading to work.
If your belly is feeling like mine, I would have walked over to a grocery store staff and asked for help. You can see this as a chance to practice asking for help. (not that toddler tantrums aren't a pain, 'cause I feel you on that.)
